I don't know what I'm doing here. I need to stop signing up for random things. Anyway here goes nothing...

pakistans financial situation as i understand
Countries that initially were to help Pakistan out have bailed out. So we had no choice but to seek IMF's help.
"The Pakistani authorities have requested discussions with the IMF on an economic program supported by financial assistance from the Fund to meet the balance of payments difficulties the country is experiencing as a result of high food and fuel prices and the global financial crisis," IMF managing director, Dominique Strauss-Kahn said in a statement.
So if the deal was to be finalized the price of the dollar, electricity gas and petrol will be set by them. In other words we are further being screwed. Why on earth would anyone give us pure cash to do whatever the hell we want with it.
IMF loan could push the rupee even lower against the dollar, drive up unemployment and further raise utility prices.
God help us!

perfect disguise
I speak my mind because it hurts to bite my tongue. I’m that girl that's always happy -- the one who never has problems, and when I do, they don't get to me. Everyone sees me as the one they can count on to put a smile on their face because as far as they know, I always have one on mine.
Everyone is on my case about everything, it's already been decided for me apparently and I just want to scream and cry and yell all at the same time. But I keep my mouth shut because I don't want to cause anymore drama.
I love my friends, but they never realize if I'm upset. I guess it's because I always fake being happy. I just don't really see the point in being like hey, I'm upset. Because then I would just get asked what's wrong over and over again and I really don't know how to answer that question. And then to say the least i don't really know myself whats wrong.
I'm in a place i don't want to be. I'm doing something in which i lose interest everyday. i have every reason to leave but not the strength. so what holds you together when everything else is falling apart?

preconceived notions
its a Sunday today. its such a drag . I have done absolutely nothing productive, unless or until u call sleeping, random reading and TV watching productive. If lazying around was a job, id be an expert at it.
Football doesn't interest me anymore, mainly because Manchester united are playing like crap and i still miss van nistelroy :(. He keeps scoring for real Madrid and this makes me hate Ferguson even more for letting him go. I mean rooney's great and all but now manu. can't play around a central striker. And lets admit they aren't the best team to build up spectacular goals. last season Ronaldo miraculously did the trick but he can't repeat it every season. Now bringing in berbatov is a good move but he still hasn't delivered.
now I'm just ranting.

i just re-lived the past 7 months and yes it has been a horrible year. it was hard to delete the messages. i realized they made up who i am,how much people actually care and how i don't give a crap about most of them. i should start giving a crap!
school has been hell and controversial(if zia were to read this he would laugh his ass off). I have finals in 2 months, and its safe to say that the preparation is nil! I cant wait for 2nd year to be over. its been so difficult.
controversial because everyone seems to be having issues amongst each other. the fights in the canteen are awesome to watch. but i really dont like it when people go complaining to teachers like 5 year olds. oh and just so you know im not actually involved in any of these 'fights' but my friends are so its fun to jump in every once in a while.
i cant wait for this year to end.
back to oral histology.

I personally think they are over rated! though we still celebrate. anu turned 21 today. Everyone except me has lived through it. yet they celebrated the very coveted 21st!
Pre proffs are in a month and i'm hardly getting any work done. I miss insomnia sometimes. You get more work done when you can't sleep.
Dental school, is a whole different world, with a completely new set of worries. I like it, because there isn't much time to think. You move from class to class with people who don't matter, listen to the teachers speak and smile when the day is over. There isn't much free time, and that's good.
But then sometimes you miss the whole school drama.
I wanna give up coffee and try green tea. 2 years of everyday coffee intake is too much!
I was going through this article in time which gave the differences between green tea and coffee:
Coffee or tea? There's a growing body of research to suggest that both are probably good for you.
More Related
We've heard a lot about the health benefits of tea, especially green tea. It is high in polyphenols--compounds with strong antioxidant activity that in test-tube and animal models show anticancer and heart-protective effects. Good clinical studies are few, however, and although I and other physicians tell our patients to drink green tea, there hasn't been any definitive proof of the value of that advice.
That's why I was so interested in a report last week in the Journal of the American Medical Association. A team of Japanese researchers was able to link green-tea consumption with decreased mortality from all causes--including cardiovascular disease. The researchers tracked 40,530 healthy adults ages 40 to 79 in a region of northeastern Japan where most people drink green tea, following them for up to 11 years. Those who drank five or more cups of green tea a day had significantly lower mortality rates than those who drank less than one cup a day. There were also fewer deaths from cardiovascular disease.
But no such association was seen with deaths from cancer. Nor was consumption of oolong or black tea correlated with any decrease in mortality. Those teas are more oxidized in processing, which not only darkens the color of the leaves and changes their flavor but also reduces their polyphenol content.
Japanese people have access to better-quality green tea than do most North Americans. If you want the good stuff (like gyokuro or matcha, the powdered tea used in Japanese tea ceremonies), go to the nearest specialty-tea shop, Asian grocery store or the Internet (try japanesegreenteaonline com inpursuitoftea.com or matchaandmore.com)
Coffee is more complicated. It has received both gold stars and black marks in the medical literature. It too contains antioxidants, although they are less well studied than tea polyphenols. Evidence for the health benefits of coffee is growing, however. In the August issue of the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition, for example, a group of investigators from Finland, Italy and the Netherlands report that coffee seems to protect against age-related cognitive decline. The scientists studied 676 healthy men born from 1900 to 1920 and followed them for 10 years, using standardized measures of cognitive function. Their conclusion: the men who consumed coffee had significantly less cognitive impairment than those who didn't. Three cups a day seemed to provide maximum protection.
Population studies like those help us form hypotheses about relationships between dietary habits and long-term health. We still have to test our suppositions in controlled conditions and measure the effects of coffee and tea on various systems of the body.
In the meantime, enjoy your tea and coffee, get the best quality you can, and know that they are probably doing you more good than harm.

Saturday was an absolutely gorgeous day..the beach trip made it even more fun =) the drive was long and bumpy(mainly because shahzeem and dabeer are bad drivers) but it was worth every minute. it was the perfect weekend before school starts again =(.
Its all downhill from here. Finals from december 29th. that's very very sad for me.
On a much happier note machester united kicked start their season..3 wins outta 3 and yesterday away win at blackburn so top half of the table. this season is like a repeat of last season. drew the first 2 games. and then 1-0 win against sunderland and things went uphill from there. just incase you are wondering they went on to win the premier league and the champions league making chelsea second in both. which made me more happy =)

changes...
This is not happening. No it is'nt. This is just a phase. Like all those other oh-so-dramatic chick flick crazy things that never happened to me before because apparently I am living highschool two years too late.
The strange thing is how drastically my state of mind is changing. People, matter. Opnions have started to matter. Maybe these are the after effects of being stuck with the sort of people that I would have made fun of a year back. Maybe, its just me losing my level of maturity.Or maybe, its God teaching me another lesson.
Everything is happening so fast lately, I barely get time to think. Every moment I have free I sleep. Dental school does suck you in to this whirlpool, and then it twists you and turns you and shakes every ounce of normality out of you.
Even right now i should be studying. But im writing this and watching prison break. which by the way was so good!
And that reminds me to comment on grey's:
watched it with my dad and he pointed out a few mistakes:
1) Derek telling the anaesthetist to hang some blood. An anaesthetist isn't a total idiot. They do those sort of things themselves. this majorly pissed my dad off as he himself is an anaesthetist.
3) Christina's interns doing her chest x-ray... that's a radiographer's job, not a doctor's.
4) spending so much time deliberating over starting CPR... giving amiodarone or lidocaine... minor points when the patient is arresting infront of you! this even i know having studied pharmacology as a 2nd year student.
5) Sloan the PLASTIC SURGEON fixing the other patient's trachea. This is of course the job of an ENT surgeon (not plastics). but still fell in love with the show so now waiting for it to end. oh..meredith should be killed off so should derek! This past sunday was suppose to be like any other sunday, except that it was the singaporian grand prix, which was suppose to be totally awesome given the track was so nicely built. The race was a total disappointment =(
